We opened our first office in Richmond Road in South Shields, in 1969 and are grateful to have served the North East area for over 50 years.
We’ve never forgotten our roots and to this day, we are still known as Richmond Taxis!
Thanks to our focus on being active with the local community, we have come a long way and we’re proud to have celebrated our Golden Jubilee in 2019.
Richmond Taxis have expanded regularly over the years and have acquired a number of taxi companies including:
Bridgeway Taxis, Princess Taxis, Dial-a-cab taxis, Coastline Taxis Marsden Smart Cars and Whiteleas Taxis.
We are now South Tyneside’s biggest taxi company.
Our management team are continuously striving to improve our services. They have introduced new features including a Richmond Taxis App (for Androids & for Apple) where you can book a taxi in seconds!
We estimate that we’ve dropped off over a MILLION customers since our founding in 1969 and are proud to continue serving our local community.
